When I was in the Marine Corps I was stationed at Jacksonville from 1989-93. After I got out I worked there for a survey company for a year. The wife and I loved going fishing and shrimping with our 8ft cast net. I live in PA now. Love PA but how I mess the NC coast. We had the best time.

Everyone talks about "steaming" crabs....I have never steamed crabs.....I get a bushel from my local guy.....place about 1/2 pot of fresh water, lots of Old Bay and a beer or two.....I place about a dozen live crabs in the "stew" and "boil" them until they are done....the neatest thing is picking the crabs and sucking out the Old Bay/Stew from the crab shell......ahhhh!!! That's how I roll!!! OBX crabs are the best!!!
