This was a common practice for steamers commonly seen during departure as the spinning wheel action was clean wheels off from coal and/or oil residue before they were equipped with sanders. However Railway companies didn't like that idea do to excessive ware the wheels and leaving flattened spots on tracks and having to replaced often.

Zwrotnica to dość szerokie pojęcie. Pozdrawiam :).

on heavy oversize loads (road vehicles, mercedes tractor units) we use the handbrake when they wheelspin, but only because the other option is to back off the power and stop or keep max power on! This bounces all the stuff from the sleeper cab onto the dash and driver etc as the tyres tramp, and , it can turn prop shafts into corkscrews!

I have seen this before. It’s not necessarily an electrical problem. The truck frame might be tweaked. There may also be a spot on the plates that may be worn, or there is a rust buildup in an unusual place. I have seen this happen on a center axle of an SD45. I have worked with a LOT of heavy equipment, and sometimes the most mundane of problems can do incredible things that “look” like it takes a team of specialists. Look to the stupid stuff, first. Simple fixes are usually all that is needed!
