I use the Brydge Max+ all the time to the point I sold my Magic Keyboard. The extra large trackpad was the big selling factor.

I really like the brydge but the fact that it does not have smart connector and my ipad wont be protected while using without the keyboard is a turnoff

I recently bought the Combo Touch for my 2020 tablet and it’s such a good case! I also have the Magic Keyboard and I like the CT for what the MK can’t do. Only downside is I’m a shortie and can’t put it on my lap while sitting without putting something underneath it. That said I just returned it and bought the Brydge case just to try it out as I am very curious, it’s got the lapability and easy swap going for it as I like changing cases relatively often. But if it feels too similar to the MK I’ll probably just return it for the CT. For anyone wondering why I’d buy another pricy keyboard case when i already have the Magic Keyboard: I like to change out my accessories for my iPad & I also got the MK stupidly cheap on eBay used for $160. (Oddly enough it was in perfect condition and works fine too, no clue why the dude sold it so cheap lol)

Hey got an update on de brydge keyboard?

@@jouhantrinidad1995 Sure do! I used it for a couple weeks before returning it. It's a pretty good keyboard but not worth keeping if you have the MK or TC. The trackpad is huge but uses a diving board design which honestly I really disliked, and I hate doing tap to click. Was also disappointed I couldn't tilt it back as far as I'd like but I know that's due to the ipad's weight. Having a row of function keys was really nice. Love that you could pop it out as easily as on the MK If I didn't already own the MK I'd have kept it tbh, as I know I'd have gotten used to the drawbacks. All 3 keyboards are great but I think it comes down to what you're looking for in a lux keyboard case.

I'm surprised the Brydge Max+ has come down SO far in price. I just bought one on Amazon for my Air 5 for under $50.

I have the new ipad pro m2 and used the Magic keyboard for a few days and hated it...I've since done weeks of research and the Brydge to my taste looks and functions like a laptop. I ordered today and and looking forward to putting it on my lap..

I always check your reviews and since seeing a tweet by John Gruber/Daring Fireball w/photos of his Magic Keyboard case having peeling issues with the soft material used on it, I checked mine (only about 8. mos old) and surprised to find one slit (at bottom right of trackpad on edge--which never really gets touched) which will end up peeling eventually I assume (I had thought maybe his and others who added their photos of their cases just were just because they had been a bit rough with theirs). Consequently reviewing the other 2 keyboard cases available. I use mine in my lap a lot and touchtype pretty fast so the keyboard is important. I have several external keyboards, Keychrome mechanical and Logitech MX and the Apple trackpad, but much prefer to use Ipad in my lap than at desk/table. I also have had both the old original Logitech for the original 12.9 Ipad Pro (lightning port) which I never found worked very well in lap with the kickstand--and the original Brydge without trackpad and the clippy things for the 2018 12.9. I tried it yesterday--and like the balance, the keyboard but hated the clips and no trackpad. So--am considering again in near future the Brydge Max+ for my. 2021 Pro. This review is helpful--I do like the Magic but am unhappy seeing the material not hold up--and its not quite as well balanced as my old Brydge (assuming the new one is balanced similarly), so looking for reviews. I liked the additional USBc port on the Magic but since I often use a hub (then at desk), this isn't so important. My one concern with the Brydge that I read about was a few had issues with the plastic hinges holding up.

uuughhh I am stuck on both of these, I already have a surface pro 7 so I was thinking of getting the Brydge but love the drawing feature since I am using Shapr3D and Procreate. Still can't decide which one to get tho.

The combo touch fits the 2020 12.9 iPad Pro. The only problem is that few of the speaker grilles on the iPad will be covered due to the specification but otherwise it’ll work just fine. I couldn’t tell you whether or not if it’ll affect the sound of the speakers due to that issue though..... hope this helps

As a person who has had all of the three major keyboards for the iPad Pro I have come away with a few take always. The Logitech keyboard CANT be used in your lap reliably as well as carried with one hand. The Brydge keyboard is very heavy. The magic keyboard lacks function keys. As far as the typing experience and the keyboard experience the magic keyboard is the best of the bunch especially because its more fluid and responsive.

What’s the magic with no function keys ?, the size of the track pad is not an issues because it equates the screen during usage and it is efficient, you don’t have to swipe a long length to achieve your goal. The design is fantastic and futuristic (10/10), build quality is good but Brydge is superior. Next time apple should add a function key row and it wouldn’t hurt to have an aluminum built keyboard. Imagine if your magic key board is aluminum built with function key buttons, this video won’t come up in the first place

@@TheBENJAMIN1500 Tend to agree with you. The reason I'm looking at the Brydge Max+ (I have the original one with clips and no trackpad) is because some users of the Magic are showing peeling issues with the soft material used. I have found a slit in mine (after thinking it was fine--only 8 mos old) that I assume will end up with issues also. I also use in my lap most of the time (and touchtype pretty quickly) as I did my Macbook Pro--and the Brydge may be a bit more balanced and I like their original keyboard so assume will like the Max+. The material matters--for me the function keys not as much but will be welcome.,

A feature you forgot to mention. The keyboard on the logitech can be flipped and folded flat against the back of the case, with the keys facing inwards so that you can handle it without pressing keys Best feature of all. means you can use the iPad flat without separating the two halves

5:18 @TheAverageTechGuy I double checked mine and in very tiny almost invisible print on the bottom of the box Brydge is referring to the battery life with the keyboard backlight OFF and 2 hours of typing per day in order to achieve 3 months, so your box has a misprint or a typo claiming 6 months! I also double checked the website and the 3 month spec is exactly the same.

Hi ATG, thank you for reviewing my comment and clarifying the battery life. My apologies if it came across as harsh but that wasn't my intention. I'm still tied up whether to buy the Brydge plus or the logitech. Hopefully they clarify. Thanks again for these reviews.
