I don't see many if any visual analysis so I give it a take: I interpret this as the main character recently having died either A, due to suicide with the rope or B, Car accident as we see in the end. Its also important to note that much of the film is played backwards in reverse. The character is in a familiar place (Home - Neighborhood) but has no identity (Black sheet). They are disembodied and distorted, perhaps in some sort of limbo or transitional reality after his physical death. The person then Crosses over OR dissolves into nothingness as the vessel in the sheet disappears.
@elijahbuscho7715

I like that. Some more ideas: To me this is a representation of a depression. Wearing the cloak represents being in a state of depression. Underneath the cloak is a human being. You can see that in the beginning, as he puts on the cloak. You can also see his sneakers and hands periodically. The fact that it's in reverse makes me think of depression because it's something that you can emerge from and fall back into. Depression can feel like it's a tide, coming in and going out. The video seems to show depression consuming him, but when reversed it seems seems to show him emerging from it (suicidality represented by the noose, and then he drops it, and then goes inside and takes the cloak off). Another interpretation of the fact that it's reversed could be that the unreversed version is reality, and the version that's being presented (reversed version) is what it looks like in the midst of depression. In depression it seems like there is no escape, but in reality there will be moments where you come out of it. The cloak has a few other things related to depression: it makes it hard to see, it makes it hard to move around, and it makes it hard to be seen as well, and maybe more so recognized. Also the hand that tries to touch his face could symbolize how while in a depressive state it's difficult for someone on the outside to reach you, or pull you out of it.

Anytime I want sounds, LORN... walking to the shops or the hills; LORN... Bath-time, LORN...gardening, LORN... you get the idea. I've been like this for over 6years now. when you have a severe physical or mental ailment it causes you to be a silhouette of yourself. Like life crippling depression or a painful nerve disorder. It feels like i've lived my whole life shrouded im a shadow of what I could be because of a terrible roll of cosmic dice or a curse. live alone in the dark and in constant nearly unbearable pain. go out into public dont forget your shroud to protect you from eyes with no empathy or understanding. this is how I interpreted this art. if you are a sickly silhouette just know the spiritual path is available for those of us who can't enjoy the physical. being stuck in a broken body is like being wrapped in a suffocating fabric that no matter how hard you try it wont come off and you panic at first but then finally give in but you never give up hoping one day you can remove it.
