This video shows the beauty of Lough Oughter in County Cavan, Ireland from the air.
Lough Oughter is a large complex of lakes on the river Erne in County Cavan. The area is designated as a Natura 2000 site and is also part of the UNESCO Marble Arch Caves Geopark.
This lake complex has a long association with forests: Oak woodlands were prominent in ancient times.
Today the integration of farming, forestry and wetlands/lakes can be seen: mixed woodlands are to be found alongside dairy and beef farms.
