You haven’t seen French singer/actress Suzy Delair!! She smiles and sings to the audience with joy and love. Suzy Delair sang C’est Si Bon at a festival in Paris (about 1947) and Louis Armstrong was there and heard it. And took it for his own! I can’t find out why Miss Delair never recorded the song on her own. I’ve only found a 20 or 30 second clip of a video of her singing C’est Si Bon in about 1960.

It's true, I prefer the Satch of the 20ies, 30ies, and 40ies. But occasionally, he was still able to deliver first-rate jazz in his older days. Without his usual clichés. This here is a fine example.
@collinpetry1161
The interesting thing about his later days was that while many wanted him to go back to the younger Satch, Louis Armstrong loved what he did in his later years, even if it had become cliché. Members of his band are know for saying he worked them harder the amaller the crowd, always wanting to give a top tier performance.

Music used to mean you played a song I want somebody sing along to the music that you played. It was glorious. This is a time when music is played and made, and no buddy could make up a song.
