Didn't know about this one until his death was announced. Makes an excellent tribute!

The song is kind of hokey but those pics of the smoking David McCallum in his U.N.C.L.E heyday, objectively hot, no wonder he was mobbed wherever he went, forever Illya, glad he found more success on NCIS, there will never be another duo like him and Robert Vaughn-forever Napoleón Solo..

I loved the bit in NCIS, when Kate asked Gibbs what did Ducky look like when he was younger. Gibbs hesitated and said 'Illya Kuryakin'

Love this song its flaming brilliant. They knew how to write songs back then. Illya is gorgeous even at his age now.

Hey!! This was the most recent comment so I figured I’d give it a try! Do you mind telling me what the lyric after: “I wish he could be on my side of the screen.” says? I’ve been trying to figure it out all night and I still haven’t come to it, so.. Help a girl out please!! Thanks in advance

Oooo fantastic! I've only heard excerpts from this before. It's really very witty. I recall reading that this was in the UK top 40 the same week as David McCallum's 'Communication'. Such a pity Alma Cogan passed away so soon after recording this.

I remember when I bought his record, "A Bit More of Me", there were these perforated colourful pictures on the back. To think I bought it at a Grants for about $5 then, it was worth every boy-and I still have it (and 3 more of his records)! I do wish there was a CD with the 3rd and 4th albums together with some more of his songs-like this and "Trouble") added like the 1&2 records into the "Open Channel D" CD. The records were all instrumentally conducted by David McCallum and even contained the music,' The Edge'-by David Axelrod-in the movie "Baby Driver".

Just gorgeous screencaps! And what a hoot of a song - I've never heard that before! Thanks so much! I'm wondering just how many songs Illya had written about him - that's the second one I've heard.

That's because David McCallum, the actor who plays Ducky on N.C.I.S., is the same actor who played Illya Kuryakin.

@daisydownunder It was played on British pirate radio, but it didn't actually chart in the UK. Alma Cogan only ever had one number 1 hit in the UK, "Dreamboat" in May 1955. Her final appearance in the UK singles chart was with "Cowboy Jimmy Joe", which made number 37 in April 1961.
