Lots of work for sure, but getting that wiring nice and tidy is worth it. As far as pcm, did you use the free software online and make a bench harness? pcmhammer, tunerpro, etc to remove vats and tune as needed? I looked over your videos and didn't see that but have to suspect you did your own pcm. I did. There was a learning curve but well worth it in the end since it enables you to tune and so much more once you figure it out. Have you ventured into the 4l80e/4l60e for your truck or car? I love having over drive and then also being able to control shift points and a lot more using the same free tuning software.

As for the tuning, I'm using HP tuner to modify all my cars. The original vats delete, I had paid someone to do it, but I've since been self teaching. I've been thinking about a 4l80e swap for the camaro, but I'm going to ride out the th350 until I get sick of it lol. The truck being 4x4 would be a lot more difficult to swap the trans due to the transfercase dilemma. I'd either have to run a hard to find passenger side drop np241 t case from a 91 suburban or spend thousands on adapters to make the np203 function with a modern transmission. In my trucks case, it's easiest to keep it a th350. A lot of my tuning knowledge I've learned from Goat Rope Garge here on youtube. I definitely recommend his videos
