The most dignified wedding I’ve ever seen. The bride is absolutely stunning and elegant not only in her dress but her movements

a very moving wedding ceremony. I love the way they look at each other, the smiles, the way he strokes her hand. so lovely.

Here is the refrain: Je veux t'aimer sans cesse, de plus en plus Protège ma promesse, Seigneur Jesus.

I wish that the narrators would hush up, especially when the bishop and others are talking. Not only is it annoying, but it's also extremely rude.

Love that they chose simple gold wedding bands, and I understand they were made from Fairtrade Gold. They were beautifully elegant and understated, but certainly visible. Shows respect for the environment, and the small scale miners who work hard to meet high standards to produce it. I noticed too that the vow spoken by Prince Guillaume before he put the ring on Princess Stephanie seemed a little bit longer and had different words than that spoken by Princess Stephanie before she placed his ring on his finger. I know in English protestant ceremonies, the ring vows usually vary between sects, but within a single ceremony are usually pretty much the same, possibly with the exception of changing the pronouns for the bride and groom in a particular set of vows which include them. Can someone possibly offer a brief translation of what was said at those two points? I know this wedding was in Luxembourg but it was in at least 4 languages in different parts, (German, French, Luxumbourgish and Latin) including a couple of very small portions in English. Is this normal practice to switch from one to another, or something only confined to this particular wedding? I enjoyed it very much, except the commentators' voices in the background speaking over the Priest (?) performing the wedding. (Sorry ~I am not Catholic, and don't have much knowledge of who is who just by looking.) It seemed to be somewhat inconsiderate to talk over him that way, and I found it rather distracting, and somewhat annoying. I thought they looked somewhat subdued, but happy, and the Prince certainly seemed sincere in his attentions to his bride, Princess Stephanie, in his smiles at her and taking her hand at moments when they were not required to participate directly in the service.

The bride's mother died just 7 weeks before the wedding. That's why her face looks the way it does. She was probably missing her mother and she was still in mourning.

The two answers above are wrong. The lady in dark orange dress is the grand duchess Maria Theresa, mother of the groom. Her husband Henri, grand duke of Luxembourg, is standing at her right.

Homosexual Prince 'weds' aristocratic, cold 'bride' under pressure of his Catholic, conservative and power-fixed family. How sad... I wish, Guillaume must learn from beautiful example of Mr. Xavier Bettel, who is mayor of Luxembourg and openly gay. He, Mr. Bettel, is representing Luxembourg of today with liberal values of freedom and tolerance much more better than all 'royal family' together!
