Part two of a mid-90s interview by reggae historian Steve Barrow and cameraman Don Letts with two of most influential figures in the development of the art of DJ. Stitt takes up the story with the crucial tracks he recorded for Clancy Eccles, describes how Coxsone’s Downbeat became the dominant sound of the day, and how he made a virtue of his unusual physiognomy, following the local popularity of the Sergio Leone classic “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly”. (Stitt was the self-styled “Ugly One”). He then adds some thoughts on the typical deal for artist of the day (raw). Its back to the Count then for his take on modern dancehall-and dancing, and the two finish by reprising some of their classic lines.
