I just got my new Ocelot 5 days ago and I am thrilled with it! My first ride was exhilarating and fun. This bike is super quiet, has excellent gradual throttle response, and very satisfying power. I'm a big guy at 6' and 280lbs. But I didn't get this cat just for me. My whole family, from our 9 year old granddaughter to the 2 teenage boys absolutely love it! assembly was fairly easy and all the factory adjustments were spot-on. The frame and welds are solid, and you're ready to go without having to add a bunch of options. I did order a suspension seat post but haven't used it yet because the added height would be too high for my wife and granddaughter. I will use it this winter when I'm traveling in my RV and taking advantage of the trails. The standard seat is okay but I intend to get a Cloud 9 seat to make long rides more comfortable. We've already put over 30 miles on the Ocelot with one initial charge of the battery. The brakes are smooth, quiet, and strong. I feel so lucky to have this bike. I was originally looking exclusively for a folding bike to store inside my RV but the reality I found was, they are super awkward to handle and lift in folded configuration. I can roll this Ocelot up into my RV easier than hoisting a foldable. I don't use the dinette when I'm traveling alone, so I can make it into a bed and lay the Ocelot on a safe, soft, out-of-the-way place. I did purchase a sturdy bike rack and a cover for when I need inside room. The Magicyle company has been very good to deal with and all-in-all my experience has been very good. I researched a lot of bikes and companies before choosing and I have absolutely no regrets, and I'm sure I'll get many years of pleasure from my Ocelot

I ordered this bike last night and then canceled my order when I heard about this safety hazard. I probably should have read more reviews and saw more videos first. I chatted with their support before canceling and I got a very odd response. The motor has slightly less torque on the low range but slightly better on top speed on the high range throttle only, which is perfect if you ask me..A 25-28 amp controller would be the best upgrade for Magicycle, but nice bike...Actually it's probably the same amount of torque with the smaller tires it has to spin more to get up the hill, so the momentum isn't as efficient...

I am seriously thinking about buying this e-bike when i sell both my Onyx . Anyone know how there customer service is for warranty claims? Should be fast and easy like Lectric is. I will check around others videos see about how there customer service is on these. They make the same mistake as many other e-bike companies. The free wheel cassette should go down to 11 tooth and the chainring minimum 52 tooth for best pedal assist above 20mph other wise you have to pedal to fast. You mentioned Cyrusher e-bike to compare. The specs on those for the money where terrible. $2000 gets 48v17ah with 18650 batteries no less, low nominal torque. Not sure how they sell even. Ariel rider Kepler. 1000w, 1800max. 52v20ah 21700 cells. $1900. Magicycle $2000 also 52v20ah 21700 cells. The power is a little low though at 750w max only 1000w so on the low side for $1900-$2000 . I rather like the 20” Ocelot Pro . Priced a bit high at just under $2000 but in the end i just might buy that one . Just have to sell my 2 Onyx first

Jeremiah, Enjoyed your review, although it's somewhat unnerving to watch you ride around one-handed. Makes me concerned about anything unexpected happening. I thought you covered the issue of ghost pedaling well. I'm awaiting delivery of my Ocelot Pro and had heard that ghost pedaling was a significant problem with the Cruiser when it was first released. Your video confirms my thoughts that with the stock 48T chainring (as compared with the stock 42T chainring of the Cruiser), pedaling the bike up to 20 mph is just fine. Since I generally ride my bike at 20 mph or less, I don't think I'll make any mods to either the chainring or to the freewheel. And you spent a lot more time detailing the bike's front and rear riding characteristics than other reviewers. I appreciated the clips showing how well the bike handles bumps. Couple of comments about the review: 2:35 video time _ You mention that you increased the Speed Limit to 28 mph to get max performance and those setting changes would chew through the battery faster. However, you didn't say anything about whether you changed the amp settings on the Advanced menu from the default 15A to the maximum 22A. Without making this change, you're not going to drain the batteries nearly as fast during peak power usage periods, such as hill-climbing. 26:50 video time _ Regarding your comment about the max 96 nM of torque, the 96 nM only applies if you're supplying 22A to the motor. You may have been able to conquer the hill if you had unleashed the motor's full power (assuming that the bike was still set at the default 15A manufacturer's setting).

Jeremiah, I think I've watched HOURS of your videos over the past few days. Thought it was a no brainer to just pick up 2 of the Lectric 2.0 Long Range Step Thrus (still might be). But after watching this review as well as a few others (ie. Cyrusher Kommoda review), I am not sure what to go with. If you could only pick 1 eBike and you had to pay for it, what woud you go with? I like the style of these 20" step thru bikes for our mostly trail or bike path riding. Some hills, but not necessarily mountains. It would be our first eBikes but at my age, could be last one as well. Welcome your thoughts as well as anyone else who has ridden/owned the Lectric XP 2 AND Magicycle Ocelot Pro. Almost a $1,400 difference when buying 2 bikes (could get 3 Lectrics vs 2 Ocelots).

@JeremiahMcintosh
2 жыл бұрын
Honestly you would probably be happy with either for what you explained. Personally the Ocelot is one of my favorites because I love the extra power and speed. It is about 12lbs heavier than the 2.0 but the bigger 52v battery is 5 lbs of that. Other than what you mentioned above the pedal assist levels are also more adjustable on the ocelot and I prefer the front basket that they offer for it rather than the front rack and basket that Lectric has. As far as the difference in price honestly you’re gonna have to make that call whether or not it’s worth it to you for the 368wh more battery capacity, hydraulic brakes, and 750w 52v motor. One thing Lectric does have above magicycle is the US based customer service, that’s not saying Magicycle doesn’t have a good customer service just saying that matters to some people. With all that being said both are great bikes. Please let me know if you have any other questions and let me know what you decide.
