I'm a UP fan, so I really enjoy the yellow workhorses in this video. As always the locations are breathtaking and your aerial footages are fantastic. It's incredible they could rebuild the Dry Canyon trestle under a month. I guess the job was pretty urgent, because the railroad couldn't use the line. I really enjoy your videos and your uploads indeed deserves more attention. Hopefully one day the algorithm picks up your channel and your stats will be better. Keep up the great job Dan, your work is much appreciated.

Thanks for the update on the trestle. UP should put out a time-lapse video of the trestle work. It must have been an all-hands-on-deck operation. That was an awesome shot of the train and shadow pacing themselves.

The guardrail on the Cantera loop North of Dunsmir was installed due to a Southern Pacific derailment on that very bridge July 14, 1991. Unfortunately one of the tanker cars that went into the Sacramento River below was filled with 19,000 gallons of Herbicide that all spilled out and pretty much killed everything in the river all the way down to Lake Shasta. It's been 29 years since the incident and the area still hasn't fully recovered.

Thanks a lot Ken! So if you remember in Drayton's derailment video he talked about the Dry Canyon Trestle from the Lava Fire that burned on the UP. That is this trestle you see here a couple different times. All patched up and repaired here! This video was shot just a few months or so after repairs were completed.

As usual, Dan, fabulous work! Your drone is very impressive. It looks as if you were the one parked in the old "Y" (across the right-of-way from the old water tower...) where they cut out and turned the helper units back in the days of steam. That's beautiful country, and I hauled hundreds of loads of logs through there in my younger days. Thanks for the fond memories!

Great video, Dan! The trains and the scenery were magnificent especially the views of Mt. Shasta and pf the Dry Creek Canyone Testle! The length of some of the trains was amazing. It seemed like they went on and on. That Union Pacific weed spraying train is an interesting machine. Is this a unique, one of a kind, train or are there muntilple copies of this weed spraying train? I remember seeing either this train or an similar train in a video of the Big Boy in Missouri when the Big Boy was on its way to St. Louis in August or September, 2021. The video in question was captured by Jaw Tooth and uploaded to his KZitem channel. Thank you for spending the time to document these trains and for compiling this video for our enjoyment!

Thanks a lot Thomas! As far as I know that weed sprayer is one of a kind on the whole system UP MOW does have multiple of that type of modified locomotive but the train is completely unique. It very well could have been that same train in the other video.

Glad to see the old water tower still standing. The Dry Creek Bridge would be a good example for using Micro Engineering's trestle bridge set. Correct me if I'm wrong, it looks as though some of those areas had been fire ravaged.

No DPU or rear manned helpers hear. There are helpers out of Dunsmuir to bring trains up the hill headed North but those are used to split trains in half and bring them up in two pieces. The main reason being to avoid stringlining between Dunsmuir and Mott.

Oh yes I've had one fall out of the sky from 300 feet above the ground into a field because somehow a propeller came off. I've also had another that lost connection out of nowhere when I was flying over an extremely dense forest region and I never saw it again. It can be a stressful business.
