In this video I make my 3d/compound scrolling plan for a Giraffe. This is a quick(depending on the wood) fun scroll saw project. Plans Available at www.jeplans.com
Cool! I've never thought of doing this with my scroll saw. Nice result.

The one I cut in the video is from Plum. The small one already cut out is Cherry. The larger one I believe was cut from Douglas fir.

Love this work, would it not be easier to use a spiral blade?

+Zara King I only use Spiral blades when the work it too big to rotate on the saw. They much wider cut path , for me it is harder to get a smooth clean cut.

That is the night from my Nautical Chess Set. I had enlarged it and cut it out on a band saw. kzitem.info/news/bejne/22yb4HWqa5doimU

What size blade are you using? When I cut on the long side like the 1 inch side by blade binds up all the time. What am I doing wrong? I have tried every size blade I have. Thanks.

+frehleycomet That was a delta #5 blade that is no longer made and in my opinion it worked better then the Olsen blades I have now. Be sure to use tape on the block, that helps lubricate the blade quite a bit. If your wood is really hard drill some strategically placed pivot holes to make turns. Use a fresh blade on thicker side. Looks like it took me 2 blades in the video, that plum was very hard to cut out.

I only use Flying Dutchman blades and Ultra Reverse #1 on compound cuts. Adjust your speed if needed.

Hello, do you have plans for that dragon in upper left corner, for bandsaw?

Well I must have at one point. It is the sea serpent from my nautical chess set scaled up. I see that you brought the Chess set plans, so if I find it I will send it over.
