Saw your video en my launch break at work. You made all the build very interesting. The time sliped off. I enjoyed mysellf and liked the way you resolve things. Greetings from Argentina.

Great content again! What material are you using to build up your crankshafts?

Hi Kelly, I use drill rod for the shaft and crank pin . For the web it makes no difference. That one was 12L14 because I had it, but hot roll or any cold rolled is fine.

If I may suggest...? holding round thing in a vice (the way you do it st 5:00) is asking for trouble If your vice opens wide enough? I would use vee block on fixed jaw side to give you three point location Probably not serious issue for just drilling a hole, but.... 👍 subscribed to see more

Thank you for your comment. I usually use that method if I’m taking a serious cut or a cut when the cutting will be likely to turn the part. But you have a good point, I should not use short cuts on the videos. It looks bad. Joe
