Super cool mallets! Looks like they would work really well with that weight close to the hand. Also great trick with the improv tool rest!

I really like that you went with the less common journeyman's mallet. Most people would take the easy way out and make a standard blocky woodworking mallet. Also...fine woodworking chisels.. 🤣🤣🤣

Very nice project and video. I've considered working on wood with my lathe & mill but am concerned about the fine dust. Have there been issues?

Looks great. Couple of questions 1) Did you make a screwdriver into a chisel!? Wild. And did you have any trouble with the differing hardness of the wood and metal turning it with the wood lathe tools?

Use what you have right? Luckily the ebony is very hard and closer to brass and copper. If it was a softer wood it would have been more difficult.
