Calcium sulfite can be made without too much difficulty, which is good as it's not easy to find. Once made it will then be used as a reducing agent, in a future experiment, to make sodium nitrite. In this video making calcium sulfite will be done using calcium hydroxide and sodium metabisulfite. Doing this experiment using this method is a first as no previous videos or instructions could be found.
