Try making a shot of espresso, but put in a few sticks of cinnamon in the portafilter on top of the coffee puck. Flash chill that shot by pouring it in a glass bottle and slowly cooling it down by rinsing the bottle under running cold water while gradually shaking it. Literally the best cinnamon infused espresso I've ever had and made. It goes really well with milk, with or without sugar. It even tastes good without milk as an Americano.

heating some water in an electric kettle is way less effort than making simple syrup imo. no need to wash an extra dish and deal with all that hot sugar. maybe if you want to make the process even simpler you can just make the syrup in bulk but then you'd have to worry about crystallization and having to heat water isn't really much harder.

Just made this, it's great! Tastes very similar to the starbucks version but without the sticky sweet feeling. This one has a richer flavor. I used a glass jar with a lid to shake it and then drank directly from that. The hot water makes it very foamy but thats the point of a shaken espresso, and the foam reduces as it sits. If you don't want it as foamy, just don't shake it for as long. Or, dissolve the coffee and then put it in the freezer for a few minutes to cool it down
