Something a little bit experimental. Instead of going through all the rules and explaining them for a game, I decided instead to describe how I try to make sense of them.
Mostly because I already did the aforementioned with Anima: Beyond Fantasy, and it's only useful if...you happen to be interested in Anima.
This is still very Anima-centric, but it lays bare a thought process that's become second nature to me at this point: finding less explicit reference points within a game to figure out how something works, as well as comparing it to something I'm already a little familiar with.
Is this description long enough? Do people even read these things?
Anyways, go forth with your newfound knowledge and play something besides Dungeons and Dragons.
