Great review. I have this game. Don't shoot the red fuel tanks on level 4 until you need them. Shooting the last block in a column regenerates 4 more.

I lived on this in the 80’s, it gets crazy fast in the later levels. Great fun!

I played this to death as a kid. Nobody remembers this game though. I played it for hours and wish I still had it. Not sure what happened to mine. I remember For Xmas my brother got Frogger which was big and yellow and I got this. Great memories

This takes me back, used to love this game back in the early 80s, great to see it in action again brings back many happy memories. Btw you sound exactly like Midge Ure :)

Looks really awesome. The 9 year old me would have been ecstatic to own this. I was expecting it to be the Sega arcade game Astro Blaster though.

I must of played this about a million times as a kid in the 80s. At the last level, those red things in the bottom are your fuel, so only shoot one at a time when you running low on fuel. When you shooting at the moving blocks, you have to keep from shooting them twice, or else they will rebuild. The idea is to get your missiles passed them to shoot the main boss ship. ;)

I have the Tomy Scramble version and played it to death back in the day! It works to this day and I still play it now & again! The display elements are fixed, but were cleverly designed so different objects could be displayed by lighting the elements in different combinations! This and other games like it actually use a different display tech called Vacuum Florescent Display, or VFD, which is what made those bright, colorful graphics possible. I wish they still made these today!
