Also, a note for your tree near the compost pile: Covering the base of the tree around the bottom may cause the tree roots to circle and move upwards, choking off the tree at some point. I only just learned about clipping our pine tree branches very close to the main trunk of the trees, so as to not allow for disease and bug infiltration. If you note any pine branches that are broken but sticking out, you will find a nice amber tone close to the tree trunks but dead at the end. That amber is the sap from the tree attempting to protect that wound. I'm really enjoying the property walk-through and yours is the first name I mention when helping others to learn about microgreens!! Keep growing and I can't wait to see your efforts later this year!

Thanks so much!!! Yes, Alissa was sending me dogs like every day and im like NO, I don't want a damn dog!! But then i saw this one and for some reason it felt different and i was like GET THAT PUPPY. Turns out shes a baby angel and the universe always brings us the best pets. Glad to adopt her from the streets of Puerto Rico, how cool!! And her two fosters were so amazing, lucky us!

did u know that the dogs choose us and not the other way around...when u felt that connection is God sending u that amazing gift..They give us love and more love without asking much, they make us laugh, cry, sometimes angry because they destroy our "things", which in that case they are really teaching us how to love no matter what and to have self control, chill out and patience...very good teachers indeed.@@DonnyGreens

One more note: you'll have some of the BEST compost on the planet by composting your nutrient-dense microgreen trays!! All of my outside gardening is done with compost I use that's made up of our spent microgreens, leaves, and grass. Hardly anything else goes in, to prevent bad smells from bugging the neighbors.

Did you know that full-grown Sunflowers (8' to 9') when the stems are dried, they get as hard as wood? They also make excellent garden stakes!!

Should add in a patch of sugar cane by where the cucumbers were and the add a flower bed of saffron crocus somewhere.
@DonnyGreens

whoah i didnt realize we could even grow sugar cane!!? I thought that was for more hot and tropical regions. I will definitely look into this, great suggestion, thank you!

@DonnyGreens saffron will also flower twice a year, so it's worth slowly building a thick bed of bulbs. Epic setup though.
