Sejanus in the book remembered Marcus in his childhood school when Marcus put ice on Sejnaus's wound on his finger without a word. That kind act solidified Sejanus.

Marcus the pick of the liter as snow called him and he wasn't wrong district 2 during the time of the 10th hunger games was one of the better fed districts As well as the most loyal district to the capitol during the war . Despite their loyalty district 2 was not exempt from the hunger games .Marcus was not loyal to the capitol in anyway he would've let corialanus die without a second thought and do you blame him .Marcus looked down on the Plinths for there loyalty to the capitol because he knew loyalty to capitol or none they would kill all the same as they see fit sejanus being one example .when the bombs set off in the arena Marcus ran refusing to participate in the games which is far cry to how the future males from district 2 saw the games and as punishment they gave him what he wanted to not participate in the games but the games would still go on they just made easier to take him out .

It was definitely interesting to see more blatantly anti-capitol and anti-hunger games characters from District 2 in this story. Marcus and Sejanus are practically the opposite of characters like Cato and Enobaria yet come from the same district all the same. We know down the line they're one of the few holdouts still loyal to the capitol when the rebellion comes along. I'd like to see that shift in mentality and how it happens.

@@l.tc.5032 Yeah- well they mention by the time of the hunger game trilogy there were Tribute schools for 1 and 2 that I guess people could pay into to support a regular flock of career tributes and protect their own kids? It would be nice to maybe get a book in the middle period between Songbirds and Snakes and The Hunger Games that looks at the culture inside one of those schools. Because they still had a pretty good chance at least one tribute would die. They were even more jingoistic in many ways than the Capitol (the interview scenes that were cut for time from the original films are great to check out, I love Jack Quaid's bits)

1:00 Sejanus is a pretty good representation of how angry & frustrated people can get towards something as wrong & unjust as how the Capitol does things
