Worldwide FM recorded a concert at Japan’s renowned Nanto-City Helios Theatre from two of our favourite Japanese artists, Minyo Crusaders and Marewrew, here with legendary Ainu musician OKI.
Marewrew are a group of female Ainu performers who sing upopo (ceremonial songs). Music plays an important role in Ainu culture, accompanying the religious and social ceremonies of everyday life. Here Marewrew are joined by the internationally acclaimed tonkori player Oki.
