4:00 - I was deployed to that Air Base in the country KZitem won't let us type. Not the same exact time as her mind you but close enough, it's just outside the city of Agadez, AB201. She lied about its size, it is absolutely not "one of the biggest Air Force bases ever built," and I would be shocked if it cost as much as she claimed because, even today, it is still majority tents there. She also has a huge lack of real understanding as to our policy in the country and the military relationship with it. The junta never wanted to kick U.S. troops out, they very explicitly only wanted the French out (as the country used to be a French colony). The media even outright lied about it saying the junta said the U.S. Ambassador had 48 hrs to leave when that never happened, they only threatened the French.

@@vasyle2236 It's been like 5 days or something but you're right, I should've said exaggerated because I can't know if she is truly lying or not. Regardless of my poor choice of one word, the fact is still that Air Base 201 in the country KZitem won't let us type the name of is absolutely not "one of the biggest Air Force Bases ever built." You are welcome to question if I was actually deployed there as I'm just a guy online where everyone's source is "trust me bro," but if it helps I spent approximately 5 months there (Jan to June of 2023) and left before the events she mentioned unfolded. One of the people in my shop arrived to AB201 almost right after I departed (Hoping he comes home on time here soon) and he was there for the coup so I got to hear some quote unquote "insider info" which is how I knew about the media lying about the junta threatening the US ambassador/military. I can't really speak to things there right now however and it would be inappropriate of me to comment as such on events I have no knowledge of.
