Mark Bradford and master printer, Luther Davis, Powerhouse Arts Printshop Director speak to the rich traditions of printmaking, the material processes that unite their roles of artist and artisan, and the delayed gratification that came with creating ‘Rona’ (2023), a new screenprint by Bradford composed of over 60 layers and the result of a more than two-year collaboration.
‘Rona’ will be unveiled at this year’s IFPDA Print Fair, the world’s largest art fair for prints and editions, and will be part of an exceptional selection of contemporary and historical works reflecting Hauser & Wirth’s diverse international program and ongoing support for collaborations between artists and master printers.
