Wow, great explanation! I think I'll leave that until I can produce an in-focus image on a regular basis😂

Thank you! It seems complex at first, but once you use it a couple of times it’s a really easy process! What issues are you having with focus?

I always learn something with Tony's videos. Had no idea that my OSCC had a built-in UV-IR cut filter, but it does. Huh! I wondered why I was seeing those combinations in the filter list. Question: someone suggested to me that removing the green colour cast using SCNR is a good idea before running SPCC. The Bayer matrix on OSCC's has 2x as many green pixels as red or blue, so images often first appear quite green. Thoughts?

Thank you and great question! I don’t like using SCNR because it removed useful data. Instead, balancing the color channels will remove that cast you’re referring to and sometimes it’ll be green, blue or even red. Check out this video where I go over my entire workflow, including balancing the color channels as the first step kzitem.info/news/bejne/rYlpraSucGeZm4osi=xJ1_YMSUFVQt1ULd

Hi Tony. When I open SPCC, I don't have Curve Explorer or Filter Management listed. Any idea why. Is it possible they did away with that feature? In addition, I have the Optolong's LPro and L Enhance. I believe these filters have a UV IR cut built into them? So is there a need to add an additional UV IR cut filter? I'm using a ZWO 533MC Pro wile a ZWO Gen 2 filter holder. If you say I need a separate UV IR filter, would a 1.25" mounted on the camera behind my 2" filter holder be sufficient? Sorry for all the questions and thank you for what you're doing.

No worries about the questions! The ASI533MC Pro has a UV IR built in so no need for additional. Would you mind sending me a screenshot of what you’re seeing with SPCC to Tony@hiddenlight-photography.com
