I love Matthew Broderick as Colonel Robert G. Shaw! Matthew was so dashingly handsome in the role! Hugs and kisses for Matthew Broderick! He still is dashingly handsome!

He was so handsome in Glory. He’s an effeminate strange beta male in real life. Guess that means he’s a good actor.

I'm so glad someone else mentioned Project X, which is a non comedy that Broderick shines in.

Very interesting interview. Better to listen than watch since the sound isn't synced.

Interesting that both Matthew and Denzel said they never heard of blacks fighting in the Civil war. Matthew even goes as far as saying it seemed to be erased.

I don’t know how common it was, but I learned about the Emancipation Proclamation and Black Union troops in high school back in 1970s Ohio. Black troops eventually made 10% of the Union army (200,000 men) and were a factor in its ultimate victory. We’re lucky we have movies such as ‘Glory’ so it will always be remembered.

@@Robert-un7br I've learned about it in high school -watched the movie Glory as well. This was in the early 2000s. Wonder what kind of school they attended?

@@DivinePearl I think Matthew Broderick didn’t know about it and so he assumed everybody didn’t know about it.
