Great question, here are my two suspicions - money and/or MM really thinks he's a brilliant "life leader." Somehow he has become a somewhat prominent political voice (which is another weird thing that happened out of nowhere) and even spoke at the white house so I think it's gone to his head.

The sad thing is that the private Facebook group had all sorts of heartbreaking stories of people who were looking for some sort of guidance, only to be sold a worthless course over 6 hours. A lot of folks got really angry because they didn’t expect there was going to be multiple upsells. At even a 1% conversion for the 2.5 mil audience, these guys would have raked in TEN MILLION DOLLARS!
