There is a scripture saying that we have all fallen short of the glory of Jesus. But Jesus is faithful to us no matter what we're going through as long as we already have salvation in him. As long as we're saved Jesus definitely doesn't want us trapped in a life of sin

Had no idea he became an alcoholic. I still own multiple McGee and Me VHS tapes to this day and very recently have been watching all of them. I'm a recovering alcoholic myself so this really makes me think more about living life with some sort of purpose.

Being a child actor is tough. When you’re young, you’re given all this money, and you’re enjoying it. Once your career is over (when you get tossed out into the world) you’re left to think “what will do with my life now”?

Almost as if these dumbsht "cHrIsTrIAn" programs we were watching as kids were 100% ineffective. They're all teaching a false gospel that focused more on self than actually building a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I mean just one watch of the series and you knew Joe was being heavily effected by the shows mini success. The religious guilt, I couldn't imagine the struggles he had and the depression leading up to him getting addicted. I'm so glad child actors have a lot more protection now than they did then, but this is gruesome reminder of what it can do. I have nothing against religion but no doubt it had a huge part to play in his eventual mental health decline. I don't even think most Christians would agree with the shows values today. I'm happy to hear he's recovering and hope he's still doing well to this day.
@hawaiianpony

@HeIsComingBackSoon are you actually willing to listen or will you just try to justify that religious trauma doesn't exist? I'm willing to share my thoughts but not if the conversation will be one-sided. Until you respond, I'll leave you with this: Focus on the Family has a huge problematic history that even the most devout Christians condemn. There is your first clue to my reasoning.

At 41 I’m buying an electric skateboard and feeling nostalgic about you skateboarding as a kid. Yesterday I could not remember my favourite movie growing up I’m sure you can guess the one and all of a sudden it came to me. McGee and me. I’m watching it now. Jesus loves us, we need to surrender our lives to him and let him steer us forward. Little disappointed to see Alcoholics Anonymous mentioned in this video,it is a Jesuit 12 step program that Leeds to choosing a higher power that is satanic. Follow apostle Paul for salvation by faith only.

You can't grow up in an ultra-conservative environment (I know a lot about that) and not end up totally messed up. It's just not possible. Human beings weren't made to have such limiting ideas.
