Firstly, a VERY Happy Birthday to Caroline! Hope you catch a super big bass to help celebrate your special day! Man, that was a ton of plastic. Some of those companies I have never heard of. Makes me wonder just how many companies, past and present, actually produced and marketed plastic baits. Surely every region or even individual states has local producers of plastic baits. Only yesterday I was driving and stopped at a yard sale. Picked up three rod and reel spincast combos for $13.50: Shakespeare, Zebco and a Johnson Country Mile. They were all in outstanding condition. Talked to the guy and he said he had purchased them for his wife to use, but she never really did. So in the sale they went. Stopped at another rummage sale and got a great old salmon spinning rod and reel, c.1970s in excellent condition, for $10. The gold is out there, you just have to be lucky and in the right place at the right time to discover it.

I find a ton of those Roboworms in that color around the local lake I fish, LOL. Gotta love those Shad and pearl tail colors in the original Culprit. I still have a few MT Phenoms in that brown/orange tail color I received as a Christmas gift in the late 80’s. Definitely retro and still in the original pack! Not sure why but I always liked that vintage of MT packaging. Thanks for sharing more OSG.

I had some of those old fish finder worms. They work well fished like a Texas rigged senko on hard bottoms with a spilt shot or pegged little tungsten worn weight. In grassy or soft bottoms I've had luck fishing them weightless off the bottom just twitching them along

Those castiac hard head baits where pretty decent some didn't run well some did it was hit or miss sometimes but. The one that worked the best was the hard head trout that bait caught a lot of guys in cali some big fish. You can still find some in some discount bins at tackle shops or Ollies its usually the newer ones tho.

I actually used some of those in the not so recent past and had success with them. It’s not so much the application but the presentation that a fish will react to. You can taunt a fish with dang near anything. Remember these are predators with ambush tactics especially if they’re on bed. Some may not necessarily try to eat but with a reaction to move it, the proper hook set will catch you a fish. Hook me up!
