Minor fun fact about "reveal caves" if caves are revealed, you can occupy kobold caves, to merge they're pop's into your faction, allowing for some fun times, i had a kobold king of my dwarf faction, sadly he never visited.

If a cave isn't revealed does it mean you can unknowingly embark on a cave and instantly get attacked by the ettin that lives there?

They might not actually attack, or it might be empty, but yes, fun can occur

Is there a way to figure out what values for the non-detailed world gen options correlate with numbers in detailed mode? Like setting very high for civs or forgotten beasts = ? In detailed mode etc.

Is there a way to ensure more titans are still alive after the 250 year world history? Also, is there a way, without looking through the whole history to see if any are still alive at the end of the 250 years?

Yes, you load the game up in Legends mode and you can check which ones are still alive at that time (along with all the ones that have ever existed)

This is completely unrelated to this video, but i was just thinking, wouldn't it be very difficult, but entirely doable to have a program that copies what's happening in a dwarf fortress game in to mincraft, in real time, I mean, you dont need to go in to all the complex calculations that dwarf does while your playing, you just need to look at all the things that are shown visually in the world and have it copied in to mincraft with the corresponding equivalent, as you play. Zombies with corresponding name tags could be the beasts, pillagers could be enemies corresponding name tags. You would still need the game of dwarf fortress open and it would be a nightmare trying to translate the interface in to mincraft, but just sending over the world, doesn't seme undoable, doens't even need to be in real time, it's would just be cool to see your fort in 3d I thought.

Real time? I doubt it. There used to be a tool that would take map exports and you could import them into Minecraft but that's the closest thing I know of.

@@BlindiRL ah cool, also I don't think real time would be impossible, as I'm pretty sure, on mincrafts end, telleporting mobs to locations, and changing specified blocks, when the landscape is terraformed each equivalent dwarf fortress frame would be difficult on any computer that can already run mincraft, though that would scale as the number of dwarfs on screen increase, but you just need to generate what's on screen, not, whats under the ground beneath you or what would be off screen in the df (dwarf fortress) interface, as df's code is already calculating everything else in the word, though you would actually need a decent computer to run df and mincraft at the same time, but all that df would need to do it send over the objects or info that contain the information needed to place what where, also mincraft would run quite a bit easier, as you would set the tick rate to zero, because you just need to move and place things. Though as masive undertaking, with a good PC, I personally think it's possible, I kind of want to try, but I definitely don't have the enormous amount of time or the correct programming knowledge or skills to do that kind of thing I also don't have the PC😂 Overall function wise, it's definitely possible, the main problem is obviously performance, but that can be mitigated with an insane PC or sacrifices like having render distance at something like 2 and just doing every other frame, or every 10 frames is needed

So I suppose that the mountain and non-mountain caves are separate from the megabeast and semi-megabeast cave numbers entirely? Like, if I have no "normal" caves, but I do have beast caves, caves will still show up, but only those with beasts in them?

Normal caves get kobolds and things for adventure mode etc. Megabeast and semimegabeasts are separate.

@@BlindiRL Interesting. So you can use them separately to increase the number of caves, but with a different proportion of more- or less-dangerous inhabitants. Cool.
