In this video I will show you how to make Rollkuchen.
Ingredients
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Cream
2 Eggs
1Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Tsp Salt
2 1/2 Cups Flour + extra for dusting
Instructions:
Add all the wet ingredients to a bowl and mix them really well. Then add the flour one cup at a time, making sure it's mixed in well before adding more flour. Once all the flour is added, knead the dough for a minute or two, making sure all the flour is kneaded in. Flour a spot on the table and transfer dough unto the flour. Knead a couple more minutes, adding more flour if needed, so the dough doesn't stick to the table. Once the dough is kneaded nicely, roll it out with a rolling pin. Again you can add extra flour where needed so the dough doesn't stick to the table or rolling pin. The dough should be on the thinner side once it's rolled out. Then you will cut it into rectangles it doesn't matter how wide or narrow they are. Cut a line into the middle of the rectangles and twist inside out. Now you are ready to fry your delicious rollkuchen. I fried mine in Canola oil, but vegetable oil will work as well. Fry a couple minutes on each side or until they are golden brown. Once they are done, serve them up while they are still hot with some delicious watermelon.
