I liked your video and most specially because you showed how to tight the bolts in order. Many "techs" on many KZitem videos are showing wrongly, it mean, tighten each bolt all the way before having each individual bolt pre-tight. You did the way that it should be. Other guys are doing like most of the tire repair shop do: they tight each individual bolt of the tire until it can go no more and then they will tighten the next bolt. Congrats for your good video.

Very nice video, I added "Royal Purple MAX ATF" which was recommended by a Mercedes Benz Tech. It cost me $15 a quart compared to $22 a quart of the original MBenz ATF. Royal Purple MAX ATF is a 100% synthetic oil.

diesel mercedes the original reason for the oil/filter change was because the speed sensor failed so had to replace the trans electronic plate conductor. So now I have added 5.5 quarts of the fantastic "Royal Purple MAX ATF and my 2003 SLK 320 is running just like when it was new. I highly recommend this synthetic transmission oil. Aloha from Hawaii!!

You can ONLY trust 3.5 L refill quantity IF you checked fluid level (with car level) BEFORE starting the job. Trans could have been 1/2 Liter low and fool you into thinking you only need to add 3.5 L. He mentions this at end, sort of, when talking about sensitivity of trans to quality and quantity at 80 degrees C.

What about the oil in the converter? If its the same oil, isn't it going to contaminate the new oil with the same old dirty oil? Shouldn't it be flushed instead? I'm really confused here! Thanx for sharing this info though.
@guniseran

Agree, torque convertor needs to drained too, otherwise you are mixing clean oil with dirty one

What causes problems doing this? Is it purely down to how little or how much you put in? Because the procedure itself (apart from getting level just right) looks simple enough.

No bolt on the torque converter to drain on that model? Lot's of fluid still there. If not trans needs to be re-drained at least twice more to exchange the majority of the fluid. Thanks for posting.

Hello from Portugal. I have a problem in my 250d turbo from 93. The engine oil level has increased and I think is diesel. The pressure don't pass the 2 bars and the temperature rises. The engine make a different noise on the top of engine after a ride . Well my mechanic tell probably is the diesel fuel pump need to be restored and change the internal o-rings. What do you think?

I watched a lot of your videos on transmission fluid change on Mercedes Benz. I have a 2006 MBenz E350, I just can’t find the transmission fluid fill plug looking down from the engine and I even crawl under the car checking around the transmission pan/ drain area. Is this model doesn’t have one , if so probably they do fill the fluid to the drain plug as well by using special hook up? Any input will be appreciated.
