Metal gear no longer needs kojima it needs a good screenwriter who is a fan of the saga and respects the lore created by him
@graysnake8585
Well, an example of not needing Kojima, was Portable Ops.
@Sora2314
Honestly a good point you brought up is that people act like Kojima is the sole mastermind behind the games. The man literally had the development team write in an idea notebook for MGS2, and they were responsible for a lot of things that got put in the game. It was very much a team effort. Did he do a good job as a director? Sure, he did his job and got his team brainstorming. But it is not his sole creation, many people get shafted out of the credit.
@bobmalibaliyahmarley1551
What you say is correct: Kojima shafted David Hayter for MGS5 to have a ''Hollywood actor'' do the voice instead, because of his obsession with being involved in Hollywood directing. Kojima didn't give a shit, but David Hayter always put his heart and soul into Snake and the franchise, and HE STILL DOES to this day when making appearances on showcases and what not. Kojima never appreciated David Hayter for what he did for the franchise, and that's a damn shame, because Hayter's performance have really carried alot of the weight and really put Solid Snake to life and in the hearts of millions of people in the western market.
@ReaperLust
Your absolutely right about Kojima's ego and obsession with Hollywood. Kojima originally tried to replace David Hayter with Kurt Russell as the voice of Big Boss in the original MGS 3. Kurt Russell declined because he didn't think much of video games. David Hayter apparently knew this happened and still agreed to voice act for MGS 3 and 4.
@TurokRevolution
Everyone seems to have forgotten that Metal Gear Rising was made pretty much without Hideo Kojima, and everyone loves that game nowadays.
@Soup-man
Finally, another Metal Gear fan who realizes that there were other people that developed the series
@samuelantoniocastillomeza5034
I'm glad of this analysis. People put Kojima in a pedestal and practically forget about everyone else who made this franchise great. I hope the best for this Remake!
@mrmonte1975
OMG. Once you name-dropped "Kojima dick riding", I became ultra engaged in this video. The dick riding is real indeed. I see it in various discussion groups and threads as well with other content creators. They all give most credibility of everything Metal Gear to Hideo and never question his flaws or bad decisions he made with making these games. We need more people speaking truth on these issues rather than to be constantly praising Kojima to no ends... Kojima dick riders are what really hinders the franchise from true growth and further success.

Top 10 biggest heresies to say to a metal gear solid fan
@ManiacMayhem7256
Agreed. Last thing i want is more Quiet, Johnny, retcons, nanomachines and fire Volgin. Hes like GeorgeLucas. Great ideas but you got to reign him in
@PlayerAlert
Very brave video to put out 😅 I didn't know about the P.T. thing you mentioned tbh, I can see why Konami would have been pissed about that.
@SolidSnake64
Nice evaluation man you hit the nail on the head about the teamwork for the old mgs trilogy. I tried death stranding once and couldn't even get past the 5 hour mark of gameplay it was so boring. And I remember david taking that pay cut to help the other voice actors come back for twin snakes made me honestly like the guy even more what a stand up guy.
@dmitrykim3096
If Kojima was that bad why the whole team left Konami with him
@edmac8212
Kojima production denies an the unverified report they 'defrauded konami' using mgsv funds to make PT a french gameblog made up this claim for clicks if kojima was proven to steal money he'd be in a legal battle right now
@Ann-iw3fv
I adore MGS but Kojima is such a narcissist. You'd think he did it all himself. Yoji Shinkawa is a big reason for the success MGS. Yoji is the finest artist of his generation in video games
@trucctrucc245
OH KOJIMA WITHOUT KOJIMA IT'S NOT REALLY A METAL GEAR GAME KOJIMA KOJIMA KOJIMA
@officernealy
The biggest thing I hate about the
@eduardlaser96
Hideo Kojima to the Metal Gear series = George Lucas to Star Wars
@CTom1988
There is no "I" in team. But you can't discount what one person can bring to the team with that saying. I think if kojima had worked together with his team on the later titles instead of going rogue we would undoubtedly have higher quality games. Now because of that we are at the mercy of finding a suitable replacement that can do what kojima once did while also being a team player.
