I love Mi Goreng, the instant Indomie noodles, but this recipe is so much tastier! This Indonesian Mie Goreng recipe is perfect for weekday meals as it's easy and much healthier than eating the instant noodles. You will need some sauces in your pantry though. I listed everything you need below so just watch the video and you will know what to do! If you can't find Kecap manis, Thai sweet soy sauce would be a good alternative as well as it also has enough sweet and cameral-like flavors. I added Amazon links below for Kecap manis and dark soy sauce.
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh egg noodles
1/2 lb shrimp
4-5 cloves of garlic
2-3 shallots
1 cup of thinnly sliced cabbage
4-6 Thai chili peppers
1-2 red jalapenos
2 green onions
1/3 cucumber
Optional: mung bean sprouts, fried egg :)
Sauce:
2 tbsp kecap manis
2 tbsp dark soy
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sambal oelek
