I love hearing the song birds, rain, and even the rooster crowing in the background, Diane! Also love hearing your thoughts as you paint. Oh yes, and I love watching your painting process! Ha! I'm not a painter, myself. But I'm very tempted to branch out. I think of myself as a painter with wool (beginner) as I "paint" (wet and dry felting) with wool roving.
@DianeAntoneStudio

Oh, you’re a fibre artist - you’d find a lot of similarities and inspiration in the Kuretake paints I think. I used to create pictures using wool fleece which I dyed naturally with leaves and flowers - many years ago and I don’t do it now but it certainly was fun!
@michellekrantz888
4 ай бұрын
@@DianeAntoneStudio yes, a fibre artist is accurate! And you're right that there is overlap between felting and painting. In fact, I was taught (via KZitem) by a very accomplished painter turned fibre artist who brings much of her background as a painter into her fibre art. I love that you're familiar with it and how wonderful that you grow your own wool and spin and knit as well. I recall you mentioning knitting socks. I also knit and crochet. I do enjoy your channel so much! Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

That's beautiful! It should be on material, wrapping paper, etc. It would look cool on a tote back. Let Michael Harding be shocked. If he's any kind of artist, wouldn't he believe anything and everything counts? I looked up those sets (because you are the only one really, that influences me), and my budget said: 'Are you kidding me'? I love that Aqua Green and I see it's on sale at Blicks. My husband said: '2 tubes'. He also said that I need to be careful of the budget or I wouldn't get to play with you anymore! LOL. I kid, I kid....we don't have any such issues. I looked at all the colors Blick had for MH. Was there a color that you particularly like that you don't have but would like? I own 3 student grade paint sets: the Meeden 24 tube, because of you, Daniel Smith student and Gencraft, student. A random tube of Buff Titanium (yes, your fault) and one of quinacridone magenta because of Ellen Crimi Trent when I 1st started (influenced only by that unheard of, to me, word) and both Gansai Tambi sets, because of you, so of course missing lots of cool colors. Well, I'm off to practice more doodles. Thanks much for sharing another lovely piece of your artwork!

Hi Kathy and thanks for the morning giggle! I’m so impressed with these paints (and how they are made) that I think I’m going to move to them as my main palette, so I’ll probably be purchasing the « missing colors » which I often use such as Van Dyke Brown and Ultramarine (which make a lovely variety of greys and greens when mixed with basic greens… I’ll be demoing that when I do a landscape using them next week. My selection so far is light on blues, so I’d probably also invest in Cobalt and Cerulean and maybe Indanthrone or Indigo. So much to choose from !!! Happy hunting x
