I had this at my wedding g 25 years ago.. you couldn’t t buy the sheet music at the time and Mr Nyman via his agent was kind enough to write several pages of it for me to give to the organist.. and she nicked it!!😡very un Christian frankly and I was utterly gutted! It was tremendous of him to do that for us .. never ever forget that.. love it still and so my children..

I feel obliged, on behalf of the organ-playing community, to right that wrong that was done to you 25 years ago! So you might be interested to hear this amazing music on a pipe organ once again: kzitem.info/news/bejne/spuXlmZnpHShiZg Apologies for blowing my own Diapason, but I think I'm the only person playing it on the organ, at least online. Hope it brings back a memory of your fantastic day ...

Since he absolutely insists on having valuable men and women massacred for nothing, on one side or the other (police and army), this killing does not bother me at all, and could even be interesting. And this is neither a threat nor insulting remarks, but an ultimatum from a peaceful plenipotentiary.

One of the greatest versions I ve ever heard ...This is definitely Nyman's most wonderful work !By far....It's sounds so magical that makes me tremble from excitement ...It's baroque style brings to life past and brighter and greater eras ...It's a magnificent piece of art nothing more nothing less ...💯👌😭💯👌😭💯👌

@@ramuner2816 Yes,I get what you mean. It's also one of my favourites. But I think it takes for it quite long to escalate, and that makes it a bit more difficult for you to keep your attention to it. Plus, I have quite a preference for the baroque sound in general,so how you'll find that in "chasing sheep is best left to shepherds"just maks it feel more right to my ear. This is also the reason why "The draughtsman's contract" ost,is my favourite of his scores in general.

I was in a North Carolina based professional modern dance company for over a decade starting in the 1990s. The Jan Van Dance Group was based out of the University of Greensboro (UNCG). Jan (artistic director) described her style as Merce Cunningham progression. She choreographed a piece called “Five Short Forms” using all Nymam music. In my tenure with the JVDDG I was lucky enough to be cast in this (now repertoire) piece. The final section was set to this. I loved every minute of this experience and the music was the icing. Thank you Michael Nymam. TY for letting me share this experience.👯♀️ #RIPJVD

Michael Nyman's work reflects the quality of this legendary coach!! The site is called Saviem S45/S48/S53: a story, a know-how.
