This is a useful comparison. Good to see when a dynamic mic sounds better than a lav.

Curious what your audio processing is like on audition? Considering getting accusonus, but I already have audition

My current process is using a single band compressor, adjust levels if needed and then eq.

Which is better for noise cancellation? Dynamic or shotgun? I use lav & condenser but both pick up sounds from everywhere 🥲

Dynamic in my experience. Shotgun picks up a lot of the room where as the dynamic mic I use isolates my voice a lot more. That’s why I use the Shure sm7b for my videos instead of a lav or shotgun.

Thank you for this video. May I ask which mic to not pick up noise better in a dorm where there is people talking and playing video games. Is dynamic right for it, or boom mic good for it.

I would go with the dynamic mic 👍

Hello! Would you recommend a shotgun or dynamic microphone for Professional Zoom Video Calls? I don´t want the microphone to cover my fac during the call. Thank you.

Personally I would use a dynamic microphone and film from an angle that is eye-level or slightly looking down so the microphone isn't covering my face 👌

Which mic would you recommend that can be used w/o processing that is wired?

I can only recommend what I've used, and that would be the Shure SM7b (dynamic) and the Rode NTG3 (shotgun) which are featured in this video 😀👌

HUGE volume differences shoot your great idea in the foot. A shame as lots is still useful. Viewers with a clue won't watch beyond the enormous volume jump to 'AND NOW YOU'RE HEARING THE SAME MICROPHONE, BUT WITH PROCESSING'. Finding it invalid/incompetent/hilarious. Viewers without a clue will be misled. (The clue: any comparison of audio quality must be made at the same volume, as the slightest increase in volume sounds better.)
