This is the first short screencast in a playlist that thoroughly discusses relational database design, the key to a successful relational database application.
In this short screencast we will look at one-to-many relationships between tables, how those relationships create a relational database, and why that is a superior way to manage data.
We will compare a relational database to a flat file or list-based data management system to better understand how relational databases minimize data. We will look at the benefits of minimized redundant data which include better data accuracy, reliability, and integrity not to mention faster, more productive data management.
