im glad i found your channel! I started my own journey the beginning of this year and found the most sustainable changes were the small changes that I could implement super easily into my existing routine. Since the summer is over, I am really getting back into it and your videos have really helped me get excited to get back into it!

Happy to see you on my feed again! Good work with all the lifestyle changes! Keep it up! They say it takes 90 days of conscious decision to form a routine, which I know sounds like a long time BUT! That time will pass anyways! So if you keep it up, eventually it'll become second nature! And then imagine what a year, 2 years, 10 years or more could look like living a healthier lifestyle! You got this!! Still cheering from Knoxville!!!

Sometimes those mental health days are unavoidable, but if I maintain my healthy diet throughout, I prove to myself that a bad day doesn't mean I have to eat bad...Keep going, just a day at a time!

I started my journey 4 months ago to get ready for my wedding. I used to just "freeze". Like my mental health wasn't there when I started my journey. I would put off everything, procrastinate, and greatly struggle with things my sisters and friend's excelled in, and it was so frustrating. But the more weight I lost and more routine I developed, the more those days lessened and became easier. Now, my hard mental health days feel like what my good days used to be. You're on such a good path. You're beautiful and inspiring, and you just keep making those daily good choices. 🎉 you're gonna rock this girlie! ❤ all the love your way. Making those small changes is EXACTLY how you're going to meet and maintain your goal. ❤❤

Way to go! Tracking your calories now is a great way to figure out what works for you and what doesn't, and you can just make adjustments as you go. Since you said you welcome advice, I'd really encourage you to learn about calorie density! What stood out to me about that trail mix wasn't the sugar, at all. It was the 200 calories and 12 grams of fat in a 1/4 cup (that's only four tablespoons, not enough for me haha). All calories come from four sources: protein, fat, carbs, and alcohol. Fat and alcohol have the MOST calories by weight, but protein and carbs have the least. Plus, protein helps you sustain your muscles so your metabolism doesn't drop too fast while you're losing weight, and fiber from complex carbs (grains, veggies, legumes) will help keep you full and bulk out your food. Because nuts and chocolate are high in fat, the calories in the trail mix are high for a small serving. But if you focus on foods that have a lot of protein, fiber, and volume, but lower calories, you'll find yourself satisfied while eating fewer calories. You might actually find that the VOLUME of food you eat increases! I mean, not that it's a fair comparison, but 200 calories of broccoli would weigh almost 2 lbs and have ~15 grams of protein and 15 grams of fiber. And like yeah, it's broccoli, duh LOL. But the point is if you crowd out some of the foods in your meals with these lower-calorie, high protein and fiber options, it leaves more room in your diet without having to be obsessive about what you eat.

I’m on the same boat. I’m not on any special “diets” or counting calories for some reason the word makes me just want to binge even more. So no special diet foods or anything, just portion control basically. It’s what’s easiest for me. I’m so half my plate veggies and then do protein and a carb. It’s been going well so far. I also try to do 10,000 steps a day and 35 min workout/walk . In 2 weeks I’ve lost a little over 3 lbs. I try not to weigh myself because if it doesn’t go down as fast I want it too I give up, so only every 2 week.
