Ok Kakie. I need you to lead the charge on this. As a fellow natural highlight person who has been in desperate search of a non-glittery highlight formula, can you please do a video of the best dewy/natural lit from within highlight cream/liquid/stick/etc? Specifically ones that do NOT pick up foundation? I want to try Westman Atelier but so many reviews say that it moves base products around.

Yes, yes, yes…..these are the exact type of highlighters I dream about! I want glowy, wet, high-shine, luminosity. Most good creams that give this don’t mesh well with base products which creates even more of an issue….ugh!

Hi! 🌻 I have that Clio mascara, and I found that the best way to remove it is to take a cleansing oil/balm and keep massaging (english isn't my native language, so I'm not even sure if this is a real word, but it feels right in this context 😂) your lashes until everything comes off. Yes, it's time consuming, but I like the overall effect of that mascara, so I don't mind putting an extra effort.. You can give it a try if it doesn't sound like too much of a hustle. 😬 Great review, btw! 🤍
@montananerd8244
Жыл бұрын
Well done, yes, massage is correct in this context! It is also the word for a professional rubbing and kneading the body for pain relief, but that rubbing motion is called "massage" in many contexts. Your English is better than the average English-speaking American, by the way! And lol, i have to remove every single mascara or eyeliner this way. I have double lashes (stick straight so no one can see them) and product gets caught, no matter what formula. I mostly just use mineral oil, which is the "miracle" ingredient in many effective cleansing balms. Ironically, a lot of eye makeup remover is just mineral oil, so I think cleansing balms are actually less effective than the thing they are "improving on." Once baby oil goes viral for removing mascara, I have a feeling cleansing balms won't last, they are a more expensive and less useful product, lol.

You need a cleansing balm to wash the Korean mascara off. Banilla works very well or the beauty of joseon for cruelty free. You massage it on and it completely washes off with no oily residue. I love those mascaras! The kissme heroine one is my favorite.

Me toooooo! The staying power and the stiff drydown is my favourite part of most Asian mascaras! I can't fathom the idea about worrying about droopy lashes that smudge and smear around all day! A little elbow grease to remove at the end of the day is well worth it in my opinion!

So I am someone who has been able to apply the milk makeup sculpt cream contour stick successfully. I am as pale as HLP. I use the colour toasted. I swipe it on my hand then pick up that product on my BK Beauty 109 brush and dibby dab it on my face. Something with this method sheers it out and turns it into a beautiful contour. I do this method with all my cream contours though to sheer them out.

i find the milk contour in toasted pretty flattering and i assume other missha bb cream shade 21 ppl would/do too. i use contour as/in place of bronzer (as they all look like mud on me - although those new phytosurgence bronzers look promising, hope rosy daybreak is restocked soon), so i don't want it to be barely visible, i use it the way you use bronzer (as in as heavily, and in the same areas of the face). I tend to wear muted mauve blushes and it blends nicely with them, on me. perhaps its just not flattering on your rather warm skin.

I got talked to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter (as a foundation of all things) when I had the best skin of my life (filler, Botox, facials, microneedling, 0 drinking) and it looked great but my god a month later it made my skin look caked and like a spry 70 year old at bingo night. I got a wild hair and tried it this past weekend and made it from my vanity to the bathroom to wash it off. I couldn’t nail what it was about it till you talked about the elf dupe.

I have that milk sculpt stick in toasted (I have light olive/golden skin) and I found it works best with a less dense brush! I like to mix a dot of the elf halo glow with a primer like the smashbox primerizer thats how I ware it under makeup. I am so mad about the Mario ethereal eyes pallet , I waited for a review and missed it 😭and who knew it was actually limited that's what they say to get everyone to buy it and they are never really limited or at least you have longer then 5 mins to get it. Kackie, am I crazy, or do we need to be factoring in brow density & skin tone when choosing brow products? My brows have actual lift, so I've realized that my brow mascara goes on the hairs, but if I fill in a bald spot, I've got to draw on the skin under the brows with a brow pencil, and I'm not replicating the brow hair, I'm replicating its shadow on my skin, which is a bit different from the brow color. I'm not sure what to do with this awareness tho, but it's very hard for me to find the right brow pencils. I'm starting to realize that lifted brows are more unusual among women, it seems like there maybe is a whole different technique for us with wiry, long brows?

The only thing I disagree with you about (yes we are all entitled to opinions - ha!) is the Pixi. I use it on those days when I have little expectation that it will function as a true bronzer. I use it only on those days (like now) when I have a mattified sunscreen on and I just want something on my face. The Pixi blush in the darker color is pretty good. It melts into the sunscreen quickly, but again, it's just beyond bare and sometimes I'm good with that.

I have the lightest shade of the Elf Halo dupe and I'm typically a shade or two darker than you are. I find it really pretty for days when I'm not doing full makeup. It's really pretty around my eyes to brighten and tops of cheekbones. But the darker shades are crazy and orange. That Kosas reminds me of the Huda glowish which was also terrible and that Pixi was an absolutely pointless product.

Haha I've used the clio mascara in the long formula for years. I use an oil cleanser ( the kose speedy one or purito green) to remove it and it comes off well but you have to work it in for like 30 seconds to get the mascara to release its 'grip'. Its a bit of effort so i dont reccomend it unless you're like me and need a mascara that will stay on while you furiously sweat

I LOVE the quality of the Byredo palette. On my eyes they stay put all day and surely not any worse than Chanel or TF (can't judge on LE though). I consider 110 Swiss Francs not pricey for 18! Colors compared to a CHF 95 Tom Ford quad with 3 out 4 being similar and blending into each other colors.

haha I have that milk contour shade and applying it directly to the face does indeed result in immediate regret. but the shade itself works for me, applied with a brush. I am about a half-shade deeper than you, with more golden/olive leaning neutral undertones. my only issue with it is that it seems to set very quickly on my skin so if I don't work quickly it can definitely be a little patchy
