Ah, the 1970s, when everybody mugged for screen time. When was Mike Douglas from Hollywood? I thought it was always Philly? Anyhow, nice to know that (as of this writing) John Byner, Roy Clark, Micky Dolenz, Bobby Hart and Cindy Williams are all still with us.

The show started out in Cleveland and moved to Philadelphia after a couple of years. In the mid-70s, the format lost popularity, so the show was moved to LA in 1978 hoping to resuscitate it. It didn't. The show was cancelled in 1981. This episode was from Feb. '76, so, presumably from Philadelphia.

Roy Clark might have been more talented than all of them (man in the black hat all the way to the left). He was a fantastic guitarist who could play anything, as well as being a wonderful singer, too. He also was a great comedian. I was surprised he stayed very low key in this clip, although he was obviously enjoying himself.
