I’ve got an Airco 225 MSM Stinger II that’s been in the family since it was new. The adjustment wheel only works in the middle of the range and I’m trying to clean it up so I can at least get the lower amperages. Anyway Miller bought Airco and my machine looks just like yours except that it’s orange and has one fan. Thanks for your video.

Hi thanks for the comments!! I've been real busy sorry if I haven't replied to some of you guys this kind of welders are great working horses very dependable IF you take care of them of course if not even the best welders machines will fail and yes they are great for starters and for thick metals we are talking of 200-250 amps more than enough for wherever you want to weld I like the old style not the new style if you can get them for under $200.00 you're good anyway!! Thanks again if any questions please ask!!!!!!

Hey! Liked the video. Just curious how much would you pay for one of these in decent condition? Also is this a good welder to learn on? Thanks!

i see one for sale for $200 canadian, what would u say the duty cycle is for running 100-110 AMS? are those connections smaller than say a dialarc? i am on the fence to buy or not but $200 seems cheap, mostly just want to use to practice root welds so will prob be only running it 70 amps so guessing 100 percent duty cycle. good point on lubing the shunt and fan, i should do that on my other welders, should post a vid or two burning some rods, like to see and not too many vids on these, thanks

Do you still have this Miller AC welder? These Miller arc welders have a horrible reputation and everyone says that you should only buy an old Lincoln. But the Lincoln AC225 aluminum core transformer arc welders are considered overpriced junk also! So I don't know which one to buy? Aren't Miller's always better?

Sorry for the incomplete comment Dave I run out of that lube but any NON Conductive lube will do the work just don't apply to much to the point where it'll be dripping just enough for the handle to be smooth
