It's good. I've shot it into most hardwood and it sink everytime.

Yeah Baby! I think I bought the first one from Home Depot in ID. I’ve been waiting for months. A couple of days ago I fired up my compressor inside the house, for one of the last times. With the M18 Fuel Gen 2 18 Gauge Brad Nailer and now the M12 23 Gauge Pin Nailer I’ve got all I need to do any trim job in the house! After using the tool a bit I realized it’s not Fuel for a reason and that’s too much power. If it had a brushless motor and Fuel technology, paired with a 6 amp battery, it would be or could be a major liability in the wrong hands. The way it is the pin nailer shoots the nails out of the gun at a decent velocity. Enough to stick in material or foam.

Great review! I'm waiting for the M12 23ga pinner I ordered to arrive. It will be my first M12 tool and first battery powered nailer, so it's good to see so many positive reviews. I wanted the kit but didn't want the M12 charger that came with it, so I went with the bare tool (came with 'free' 2.0Ah battery), then bought another 2.0Ah battery and the contractor bag separately. Wound up being about $250 total, where the kit goes for $279 most places and only includes 1x 1.5Ah battery. Can't wait to add this to my woodshop!

Just ordered mine yesterday from the big orange store, and it should be arriving in a few days. I’ve never been this excited for a tool to be released. I have a couple projects waiting to use it on, and I know it’s going to be great. Thanks for the video!

That pinner could be my first purchase from Milwaukee’s nail gun lineup . Interesting noise that Milwaukee nailer makes when nailing .

It's very quiet compared to everything else. . And you won't be disappointed with it when you buy it!

The 18g is worth every penny as well. Milwaukee is just killing it (literally killing pneumatics) right now. I haven't had a compressor on a my jobsite in a year and half. This 23g was the last thing I needed. I have the Makita 23g but it is just complete trash on any hard woods.

Nice review. So glad you did a side by side with the Makita. I had a Hitachi that worked for about 100 pins then started jamming constantly. I got so frustrated with it I threw it in the garbage! Not even a year old! They wanted $40 dollars for the striker and they were on backorder.

Tape open the safety trigger it works fine. The light times out.

The light turns off. The safety on mine came broken, I think the spring didn't get seated right. Which is fine... I normally remove the double trigger any way, but I was bummed about the light staying on all the time. Well, lo and behold, it turns off after 10 seconds or so. There even seems to be a built in "safety" where it won't fire the first time you pull the trigger after resting if the safety is disabled. Works great.

When you’re shooting the Milwaukee into those oak pieces...you shot through the center where there is about a 3/8” total air gap and the material is thinner. Then you shoot the makita on the edges where it is solid all the way through...so it’s not an equal comparison. Not defending the makita cause all of my cordless nailers are Milwaukee. M18 (18)gauge M18 (15) gauge M18 1/4” narrow crown stapler And tomorrow my m12 (23) gauge arrives. It’s not an accurate comparison. But I hit (like) anyway. I’m just saying....

Pin nails don't have a head, and can pull out easier, but they leave a smaller hole. Some advice I've heard about pin nailers is they are good for temporarily holding something in place, like until glue sets.

@@theremodelerslife I spotted a Milwaukee rep the other day getting his lunch in subway, so I waited outside un till he came out. Apparently not coming until spring here in Australia. But, he did say a coffee machine is on the way
