Great haul! You'll love having a clamp-on DC ammeter, they're so handy.

Greetings. My favorite episodes. That last box truly was a treasure and at a bargain price. LOL

Yes mailbags are always popular. £28 for all that lot I thought was really good. That enamelled copper wire alone is about £30 for each roll. They are 1KG rolls and don't look like they have been used at all. Thanks for watching.

That's quite the variety. That final box had a lot of value in it.

Couldn't believe that first item, the IR thermometer. I literally just watched a video of a flat earther trying to measure the surface of the sun with one of those. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen. Great video as always..... 🌡️

I really enjoyed that, thanks. Especially the last box. Isn't it a coincidence how all those eBay sellers used the same shipping sticker.

11:10 an old style thermal overload relay like yours is an add-on module for a contactor and is used for protecting 3-phase motors from drawing too much current. It has bimetallic contacts which open when temperature rises too much. It can work as a crude protection against short circuit or missing phase, but motor switches like the venerable M611 do a better job with that. Telemecanique was a French brand of industrial automation components, they were bought by Schneider Electric later on, now they are probably a part of Eaton. Line matching transformers were probably meant for telephone applications where you need to work with 600Ω line impedance; if so, they'll have a limited frequency response and considerable distortion from going into saturation if you drive them too hard. Best checked with a scope and signal generator.

If I get time I will test out one of those transformers and see what it is capable of.

Are you thinking of winding a Tesla coil? PS. Aliexpress has a 24x32 pixel thermal camera for £25.57

No, I just couldn't resist those nice shiny brand new rolls of enamelled copper wire. Will use those for transformer windings and chokes. The entire box of all those goodies was only £28. Hmmn, not many pixels. I would like to get a proper FLIR camera sometime in the future, most probably one of those ones you plug into your phone.
