Good luck with the training. But for me, the biggest plus here is the fantastic progress James is making in front of the camera. A fantastic presentation in my view, well done mate: Relaxed, way more natural and very insightful commentary. Cheers.

Training for NYC marathon in November, the last time I ran it with no training and barely broke the 5 hour mark. This time I'll be prepared!

@@icecreamforcrowhurst Currently entering the USA is not allowed from Europe in any case. I expect NYRR (organisers) to require double vax proof to be able to enter the start corrals. Of course the Delta variant isn't any more problematic than the others. So unless you are in an "at risk" category, the reward of running the 5 Boroughs is higher than any risk.

Good luck, this is very inspirational! I’ve found Brighton is a bit of a twisty course and also drink stations not the best - but that might be less of an issue for you faster guys :)

Good luck guys sure your masses of experience, fitness and racing will get you close combined with your current training block you’ve got a great chance 🙌 Reckon you’d comfortably go sub 2:30 if you are allowed to run in some good shoes on race day 😂

Sometimes it seems like it's just a few seconds, but over an hour of a pace you cannot hold will burn you up like a match. I've tried it 😅

It would interesting to hear what paces you guys are running at for the different reps, such as 10k pace intervals. Also, you've got to send it at 2:30 pace and try to hang on, it will make a great video if you make it or blow up 🤙

10km total run distance, with 10x20secs @ 5-10km pace/effort. With warm-up and warm-down to make it to 10km

I'm not an expert on these things, but do you have somebody to keep an eye on your running technique? On the video it looks like the heel strike has crept in and might need tweaking. Make sure you push your hips forward when you're going for it. That will make you touch and land on the ground below your hips. It feels weird at first, but your knees will thank you.

@@356z the nike vaporfly next%, with the carbon plate. You gain 3-4% speed just from wearing the shoe. It,s just a joke of course, it's not cheating. But they do make a difference
