Thank you for this one... I have been waiting since the last two came out. This one has a gold mine of information and I'm going to have to watch it a few times to until it seems like common sense I already knew. Then I'll pass it on as my own knowledge.

Thank you so much for these. I post this to my guild chat weekly to try to teach people how to mod. Honestly I rate this as the MOST valuable video series in all of swgoh youtube.

Great series. I was hoping to get more info about slicing. Seems like I’m always short on slicing materials. I’m curious to the appropriate balance on farming new mods to farming slicing materials.

Just want to say I really appreciate this series. I was starting off working on my speed mods as they seem the "easiest." But I was wondering, when do you stop with the green/blue/purples? If there's *any* speed at all, or is there a threshold you're looking at? For example, say I had a purple that had +5 speed. I take it to level 9 and no additional rolls go into speed...do you still keep it?

When you refer to mismatches, are you talking about secondary stats and the primary stat? Or set bonus?

Thanks. Hey, are there any other toons you feel speed is a detriment to? I just stripped all the speed of Droidika and my GG team is even better now that hes slow.

Been trying this out and the odds of getting 3 matches on an offense set is insanely low. We're talking about hitting a 4/12 (1/3) chance in 3 out of 4 secondary attempts. That math is too complex for me, but I'm guessing it's around a 1% chance of that happening. I just tested this on 90 mods and not a single one had 3 matches of Crit Chance, Offense, Offense %, and/or Speed. Love the guide, but can you confirm that you hold out for 3 matches on offense sets? I feel like I need to go with 2 matches else I'll never slice anything.

90 mods isn't that much, it's between 3 and 4 days worth of farming with refreshes. If you want good mods, you gotta hunt for 'em. You can set your threshold to 2 matches, it's a personal choice, but you'll also result in having more failed slices.

@@ThePlaybook Thanks for the reply! That affirmation at least lets me know that I should plan to go through hundreds of grey mods to find the ones worth slicing. For context, I've been playing just under a year so I don't have have a big inventory of mods yet so we'll see if I can afford to wait for 3 matches.

Very nice but don't forget that if you have a mod with speed and defense secondaries, the chances of defense geting the upgrades are 99%. And this is for my experience. Every single fucking time

3:02 how do you save credits? If the mod has speed on L6, you still have to upgrade it to 15 if you ever want to use it?

Right, the point is that you leave it partially leveled until you're going to slice it.

Check out Modding 103 for the full explanation kzitem.info/news/bejne/04CVrYyhcXafmoo The value of a mod is determined by how many secondaries fit the set and primary.
