Manually align until you get decent visible alignment, no need to be near perfection, then set the model you want to reach as target (click magnet in object browser), then select common faces on the model to be aligned, then from the select menu choose align to target. No need for cubes :) (if I correctly understand what you are trying to do)

This is such an old video, it's hard to say. But I'm not seeing how what you suggest will work as stated. Perhaps I'm missing something.

@@bgrutterdds ouch, missed the 2017 date, silly me :( if you needed to align a modified model back to the original one, inside meshmixer, my previously posted comment was a badly written abstract of this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/02p5vJ2ksIJ4bKw

Ahhh. Great technique. Haven't messed with that in a while. Always knew there had to be a better way with Align to Target. Thanks for the link.

Do you know how to align a support bar and arch?

@@bgrutterdds For certain case's when All-on-4 break's, they insert a support bar within the zirconia arch. Do you know how to align that in Mesh mixer?

@@maximusprometheus6149 Gotcha. That's TOUGH. I would use BlueSkyPlan for that. You can align by point and such. And it's free. MeshMixer is great, but alignment is a tough one. Just not design for multi-point recognition.
