Nice review, congrats on the new baby by thew way. Question for you is what are the horizontal shelves made from? Are they particle board or some other more sturdy material? I ask as I own 7 Detolf cases, and have a mixed bag of military and HT 1/6 scale figures and of course don't want to see the shelves start to sag over time due to the weight of the figures and accessories that I might add to said cases..
@thecollector7347

thanks for your kind words. The shelfs in mine are made of hard wood lined with very nice material, these will not sag over time what so ever. you can Feel confident in them and rest assured they will support that weight of your figures. you can also by clear/transparent shelfs from them to add more if you like.

Nice build series and review of the moducase. I’ve ordered 3 of the df120 cases. The ones you ordered are those the df60? Did you remove one of the side panels so it opens up into the middle case?
@thecollector7347
5 жыл бұрын
thank you! my set up came with 6 DF 60, and 3 DF120. this set comes without side panels so they are all joined and opened together. if you buy one at a time and combine later, you can very easily remove the side glass to join them

The Collector Ah okay, thanks for the info. Most of my hot toys are behind a small glass cabinet but I wanted to get something bigger that can hold a lot more. The detolfs are cheaper but I don’t like how flimsy they are and basically you can have 5-6 detolfs lined up and you’re losing the real estate on each side. From your video it seemed pretty simple to put df cabinets together. I looked over the instructions a bit but it seemed kind of vague.

I would agree the online manual can be a little tricky, I had to contact the company a few times, but I hope what I showed has helped. I had some detolfs myself, I think moducase really does help save space and keeps it all looking clean

That is an awesome case for displaying figures,may be a little pricey but when it comes down to it you get what you pay for. I was looking at the IKEA crap display cases but was not satisfied with what I was hearing. I wish I could be lucky and find some display cases like Ryan did over on another channel did when a Hallmark store closed and he got a few of their glass display cabinets and then modified them. I have put Moducase in my favorites for when our house is built so I can display my Hot Toys and other collectibles in style.

I went with IKEA for a long time. I wasn't happy with how limited I was to posing and how over crowded it looked. they aren't cheap, but I promise they are worth the money.

Hey man thanks for the video, you’re right about Bryan, he’s a great guy and super nice, I was up late last night and emailed him, he got back to me in about 2 minutes we emailed back and forth for a while, and I ended up spending 3400 on 2 wall units, the 2200something and 4x 110 stacked. It’s may 31st and it’s due around Q4. I’m guessing around December. If before great. I Collect only Star Wars and only ep.1-6 I opted for sixth series. Thanks for all of the tips. Good collecting...

Is there tempered glass custom displays?I’m looking for something with locks and lighting. I saw something on a site called Carousel but it sounds to good to be true. I’ve got like 9 22 inch quarter scale and two busts. I’ve got a young child and really don’t want them messing around with them

@The Collector Are you glad you got the LED strips over the spot lights?
@thecollector7347

100%. they light it up amazing. if I was only displaying 1 or 2 items per case ( or 3 to 4 for the bigger ones ) then I would go spot lights. but knowing how many I was planning to put in there, I knew the strip was the best call

shouldn't be an issue! these are designed to hold that weight, you can also upgrade the strength in them if you'd like. They have all the weight info on their site too. You will love these.
