it's always a pleasure to see another synth from another trademark,the problem is that certainly we can't see it on the store, ...but all the knobs seems plastic quality ( at 4000 euros), but the sounds and tweaking are great

$5200 USD is expensive; I was hoping it'd be more around the DSI P12 pricing. But this synth sounds like it might be an amazing piece. Every sound I heard in this review was just huge. Looking forward to more demos! Might be time to start saving up :)

Yepp outstanding synth. Also the team is great behind! please put into this cloud the feature, when I work from remotlely, I want to hear a piece of the sound. Its easy, just need to install a transparent stereo ADC to the end of the synth. Anyway, I will buy it in the next year. It has kind of complex modulation, what I never ever see in other analog synth. More than Andromeda A6 or DS P12. great job!

Does the staff will order some of this kraftwerk synthesizers to produce your new album? I forgot! Kraftwerk uses VST starting from 2003. They say and cheaper and sounds great in your presentations. Why the VSTs of Kraftwerk sound so crisp and clear in their shows? They should use something to fatten up the sound ..

The price is similar to a Moog Voyager XL. Just thought I'd throw that in. I feel myself wanting this synth. Another high end analogue poly is the Schmidt at about 3 times the price of this, very different though.

He's right about one thing, the ultra high quality market is lacking. Nissan has the GT-R, a halo car for .00001% of its customers. But where is Roland's halo product? Where is Yamaha and Korg's halo product. They don't have one.
@courtneyjohnson5839

@Genshi

There are quite a few new, ultra high quality synths that are out there; the Schmidt, the Solaris, the Macbeth Elements, not to mention the entire Buchla line. Coupled that with the "regular" high quality synths (DSI Prophet 12 and Pro 2, Moog, et al) and all the other synths that are available, both analog and digital, fixed and modular, this is probably the greatest time for synth players in the history of the industry! (especially for modular; in the 1970s there were maybe 3 companies making modular, none in the 80s and 90s and now almost 200 companies making modular synths!) I wouldn't rely on the major manufacturers though like Roland or Yamaha... it's just not in their corporate interest to take a risk on a high-end synth... which is a shame. Korg on the other hand may surprise us all next year. ;-)
@Digiphex
10 жыл бұрын
GenshiMediaGroup Remember, 150 of those modular companies make complete junk. Only 50 or less are legitimate. But Korg took a huge risk on the MS-20, it's quirky, lower value synth, when it could have made the heavenly Mono/Poly, the used price of which beats the price of the ugly MS-20 all day long. And now instead of a wildly popular Mono/Poly which they know inside and out, they make a lowly ARP of all things? Very strange days indeed.
@Genshi

Wavestrike Electronics True, but let's see what they do after the Arp remake... I have a sneaky suspicion that a analog poly will be coming from Korg.
@shaft9000
10 жыл бұрын
Wavestrike Electronics "lowly ARP"...er, no. Clearly you haven't played an ARP in good shape. In sound quality ARPs are the top class of vintage analog along with buchla and RA Moog-era Moog. And besides, when the mono/poly was new it sold for much less than the Odyssey, so your "point" was twice mistaken.

I can't tell you how glad I am that in a time of small cheap plastic vulgar coloured pieces of crap for 15 year old midi-kids & their EDM, IDM, FML etc that we see a true stunning synth immerge. A great character this beast has. British ingenuity like the glory days of EMS showing the rest how it's done & for under 5k. This is for true synthesists, artists & musicians! DJs with their servile genres of disposable club shite better stick to the quick scroll menu of generic presets in Garage Band!!

INteresting business choice to intro a hybrid poly when dave smith just smashed the market with his :/
