A am firmly convinced, as a addict in recovery since 2009, that drug abuse will cause anyone to justify blowing past their moral compass, doing things never imagined before for a next fix. However, IMO it takes someone with an already tainted moral compass to begin with to do something like these 2.

Disconnect I'd suspect. They wanted the baby but they didn't want to care for the baby. They felt the pain of separation but couldn't stand to be around him either. It's a difficult situation. They may have been decent parents if they'd been able to get clean. That said, thousands if not millions of people have dealt with addiction without hurting their children. It does not make for an excuse, but may partially explain it.

Hey, I have a question. I'm not joking or criticizing and I mean this totally respectfully. I see a lot of these comments of people online saying they cried when they heard/saw XYZ story. Do you mind me asking, do you cry more easily than other people in general / cry a lot in life? Does the amount of emotion you feel correspond to how heavily you cry? Is it common for you watching crime, and if so, why do you do it if it makes you feel bad? Again, these are not rhetorical or derogatory, I truly want to know. I am an extremely low-empathy person (doesn't mean I don't think it's bad when bad things happen to people and I try to do the right thing and help people, but it's not because I feel empathy) and I am always curious to learn about people who experience a lot of emotional contagion.

Seriously? You do realize half the kids who are removed from their parents are not abused at all but family or friends will report them constantly or even just once and the kid is removed. I had my daughter almost taken away because my meth head brother called it in saying I abused my baby because my adopted parents payed him to. And the cop was my brothers drug dealer. The only reason my daughter wasn't taken that day was because I started video taping them and calling them out for their sh*t. I would have lost my daughter if I didn't stand up to them and I dont abuse my kids at all and they definitely have plenty to eat, and are clean. But all it takes is one person reporting you for no actual reason to lose your kids. And honestly being with abusive parents is just as bad as foster care. Foster care is the worst thing you could be in. I rather be locked up then be in foster care. You don't just rip kids away from their parents. Yes some adults abuse their kids and the kid should be removed but there has been many families who were broken up because of false allegations. If you think removing a child first before anything else is the right way to do things you guys need therapy.

@@rayagray6321 you are not the only one. my little brother and I were nearly taken by CPS due to false allegations. I was 10 and my brother was 5 when it happened and during that time, my parents were separated and my mom’s abusive twin sister was interfering with life and it wasn’t fun. My abusive aunt falsely accused my dad of raping me and my brother and went and told the school administration. It got to where my dad had arrived to bring a birthday present for my brother who had turned five right after the separation began and the school administrators wouldn’t allow my dad to do so due to my aunt’s lies. He couldn’t even see me and my brother without supervision due to this. It was an awful time especially as my brother and I were only kids. As if things couldn’t get worse, my aunt falsely accused my mom of raping my little brother and when I had a UTI and my mom put on gloves and used cream to put down there, my aunt acted like I was being molested. I had to go to the doctor to be examined down there and they found no blood, bruising or anything that indicated rape. Given that my parents were close to getting a divorce due to marital problems they had prior to the bs my aunt caused, my aunt wanted my dad to go to jail and commit suicide. Had my mom pressed charges like her sister wanted her to, my dad would be in jail and my brother and would’ve been taken from our mom. It angers me the kids that aren’t abused get taken while the ones being abused suffer.

So. The 20 weeks onward stuff. Isn’t true. Also. Addiction doesn’t stop just because you get pregnant. It sucks. But it’s true. And. A dr will tell you to continue using heroin to avoid withdraw until they get on a MAT program. Methadone usually because taking Suboxone would mean you have to wait a few days to take it which would mean withdrawal which would mean possible death. Also. With the Finnegan system. The scoring can be so different from nurse to nurse. How do I know this? I’m on methadone. And my daughter was born dependent. But I came to find out she didn’t need to be Medicaid. She was just because of the way she was born. She was born not breathing. And had to be intubated 3 times and her throat was TORN up. And well a baby can’t say why they hurt. So they medicated her just Incase. I also had my son while I was on methadone. He did not need medicated. He was not born dependent. I was on the exact same dose both pregnancies. 3 years apart. Also. Dose doesn’t matter. It all depends if the substance or substances go thru the placenta or not. That’s it. It’s a 50/50 chance. Being an addict doesn’t mean you can’t parent. CPS came. And I was cleared. Because I had nothing to hide. I had several hair follicles and visits. and I know relapse is possible. And I also know if I ever have issues I have my family and they will help me get what I need. Not all addicts that have children are like these people.

As a mother myself, she had to be on drugs to not feel any pain while in labor. I'm sure every woman who's been through labor would agree. In my opinion if you can't quit drinking or any drug use for 9 months, you have no business having a child. Why would DCF give this little boy back to either of these so-called parents? If a baby is born with drugs or alcohol in their system you don't give that baby back! If DCF had done their job; leaving that baby with Andrea baby Dillion would be alive and thriving today.

My sister and her husband are foster carers. They adopted foster kids eventually. One little boy was essentially a savage animal when he got there. This small boy growled and bit people because he’d been subjected to SA and physical violence to an extreme degree. A few months after he arrived, they adopted him. And this precious boy got up and gave a touching speech at their wedding. And yes, my eyes were leaking, a lot. I don’t even like my sister’s husband, but purely due to what he does with vulnerable children, I’ll always respect him a great deal. And my sister is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met.

My baby was kindof high maintenance, I think due to some health struggles of mine while carrying her & she had a couple of the same symptoms as drug wd...specifically wanting to be held all the time. So guess what? She was held all the time. You don't get breaks from velcro babies and that makes it kindof scary to send one of these high maintenance little bundles of love home with addicts. Cause it's hard as hell even when you're not struggling with a drug habit. They really gotta re evaluate that policy...a velcro baby needs a devoted parent. That means doing without things... addicts are incapable of putting their kids first. I know these social workers are under pressure to get these kids home so the resources can go to other children in crisis. But this just seems stupid.

I have to say, the way you two present the story of all the children you cover is absolutely giving these children a voice. When I watch your channel I remember the CHILDREN'S story. Their names, ages and faces. I pray for their grace and peace. Unlike some other channels that focus on the criminal to much in my opinion. The integrity you two and this channel holds is surpassed by none. I am thankful you two are the voice of these precious children. I am thankful for being able to pay tribute to these children. Mostly I am thankful that you two shine a spot light on the inner workings of government offices/officials that are obviously beyond flawed. I am thankful you two don't shy away from speaking openly about the opioid crisis at the same time not "blaming" it for the disgusting actions of these reprehensible criminals. I always take away the true story because it's so clear in your videos. Please please. Keep up the amazing work you two do in paying tribute to the helpless children who's lives were to short, filled with so much ugliness and pain. Because when you do, every person that hears it understands that by listening with an open heart and compassion, they might be able to help save a child. If you see something say something. I've said it in real life. I've seen and said something. And I'm not ashamed of it. I would expect anyone to do the same for the welfare of my child if needed. It only takes 1 person to help an endangered child. And I know from your videos, anyone can be that one person. Don't be afraid to "look silly" or piss someone off. These ppl don't deserve to breath the air we breath.that baby should HAVE NEVER BEEN given to them. DCF just as guilty as they are for the death of that child. This case disgusts me.

Horrifying case! I wonder why they did not inform the firemen about what exactly they were recovering from the bottom of the well? Thanks 🙏

Because they arent required to. It's as simple as that. DCFS knew they fucked up and wanted to keep it as quiet as possible. They gave the fire and rescue team as little info as possible to deny as much as possible.

There's nothing wrong with a parents not wanting their baby but fighting to keep that baby that you obviously didn't want? That should be a red flag

I didn't know this part of their story. I watched the court case of baby Dylan.

It SHOULD be happening here in New Hampshire.. I live in Manchester, and Harmony, that baby, her pictures are all over the city, today they charged her dad with murder by beating her in the face with a closed fist... DCYF, LOST THIS CHILD, she was missing 2, TWO YEARS! Before anyone noticed. They need a complete overhaul . This poor beautiful baby girl was 5 when she disappeared.

I think she's alive. No body. Think they sold her....if they found a body that one would be stepping down. So who knows how deep that one goes..

@@codybarry8204 I held out hope that maybe he had sold her for drug money and because he clearly never gave a damn about her. But at this point that woman doesn't have anything to lie about, her life is over.. I'm also assuming whatever evidence they found at the Union St raid supports what they were told. I've dealt with this DCYF here twice, I had twins in 2014, 3 months early, and they came home 2.5 months later, at 4 months I lost one of them, and until his autopsy came back, they were vicious that first weekend, but then I never heard from them again, they never check in on my living son, they never even met let alone contacted the boys dad who we lived with.. they met with me at my parents home, not even the home I shared with the boys and their dad and my son's death occurred.. Everything was unfounded, including a cause of death, so they closed the case, they were super nice at that point, took 2 years of fighting to find a cause of death, SADS. Then when my son was 2.5 I contacted them myself for suspicion that my son was being SAd, did scopes and all that and it was found to be a possibility, the main suspect ran to AZ, not only did manch PD do nothing but NH DCYF closed the case. Thank God he doesn't remember, it's a double edge sword, wanted to go after who did it but thanking God he doesn't remember any of it.. But DCYF let us down, we had a suspect, it happened on his birth father's time and they never even spoke with him, again! So as sad as I am with Harmonys case, I'm not surprised by how this happened.
